Kathryn W. Miree & Associates, Inc. provides a full range of planned giving consulting services. Since the needs of each client are different, however, each engagement begins with a discussion of the organization’s goals and objectives, timeline, available staff, and budget. The company then generates a written proposal addressing those objectives and tailored to fit the client’s needs. Services typically include one or more of the following:

• Conduct development audit to determine readiness for planned giving or endowment
• Audit existing planned giving program to improve effectiveness and marketing response
• Develop planned giving program implementation and marketing plan (including budget)
• Draft and adopt gift acceptance policies
• Draft and adopt gift administration policies and procedures
• Develop endowment structure and campaign/building program
• Develop planned giving strategy to support capital campaign
• Create professional advisor outreach programs and structure
• Implement gift annuity program (structure, marketing)
• Motivate and education development committee and/or board on importance of planned giving and the duties of the board
• Conduct seminars for professional advisors, donors, volunteers or staff
• Develop foundation administration and management plan
• Develop metrics and standards to measure program progress
• Planned giving staff executive search

• Serve as a technical resource for development staff
• Serve as technical resource to meet with donors and their attorneys to work through estate and charitable planning options
• "Coach" the development staff through the process of implementing the planned giving program.
• Train staff and volunteers to make calls
