In her banking career, Ms. Miree had
responsibility for oversight and management of
numerous foundations including community
foundations, private foundations accepting
unsolicited grant requests, and family
foundations with specific philanthropic focuses.
She also co-authored, and updates annually, the
Family Foundation Handbook (published by CCH)
designed to serve as a practical guide to the
operation of private foundations. She continues
to consult with a variety of foundations in this
